Who it is for
Pelvic floor health is for you who experience
The pelvic floor is affected by pregnancy, childbirth, hormonal changes, age and load, among other things. We carry out a structured physiotherapy assessment of pelvic floor function – strength, control and the ability to relax – and create an individually tailored rehabilitation plan.
You will learn
- 01How your pelvic floor works – strength, control and relaxation
- 02What lies behind your symptoms
- 03What your personal rehabilitation plan looks like
Leakage and control
- Urine leakage, for example during exercise, coughing or jumping
- Reduced control or weakness in the pelvic floor
- Load-related pelvic floor problems
Pain and tension
- Tension or difficulty relaxing
- Pain in the pelvic floor or vulva
- Pain or discomfort during intercourse
Life stages
- Uncertainty about how to return to training after pregnancy and childbirth
- Changing symptoms during perimenopause or menopause
An assessment after pregnancy can be relevant after a caesarean section too. You can also come for advice and a function assessment without clear symptoms, for example before returning to more intense training.
How it works
From symptoms to a confident everyday life
Symptoms → professional assessment → understanding cause and function → personal rehabilitation plan → follow-up and a return to daily life, training and intimacy.
The internal examination is always voluntary
An internal vaginal examination may be used when it is relevant to the assessment. You decide, and you can decline, pause or stop at any time.
This is a physiotherapy pelvic floor assessment and rehabilitation – not a full gynaecological investigation.

Follow-up
Based on your needs, at the clinic or digitally. For stress or mixed incontinence, for example, rehabilitation is a process over time rather than a one-off treatment. About the Västerås clinic →Emsella as a possible complement
The foundation is always a clinical assessment and individually tailored rehabilitation. For some, Emsella may then be a relevant complement. Emsella is offered as a separate treatment programme at Revi Health in Stockholm and is not included in the pelvic floor assessment or rehabilitation.
