About Minerals

Magnesium, zinc, selenium and iron are involved in hundreds of enzyme reactions and are often low in people who train hard or eat a narrow diet. Form matters for absorption, which is why we choose well-documented salts over the cheapest ones. Iron should only be taken after ferritin has been measured.

Form determines how much is actually absorbed. Magnesium citrate and glycinate are generally better tolerated than oxide, and zinc should not be taken at high doses long-term because it competes with copper. Iron stands apart: it is dosed only against a measured ferritin value.
