How it works
- 01Candidate EvaluationInitial visitClinical examination and diagnostic ultrasound to determine if you are a suitable candidate for orthobiologics.
- Single clinic visit (~90 min)
- 02Gentle Tissue Harvest~30 minUnder local anaesthetic, a small and gentle harvest of adipose tissue is performed (typically from the abdomen).
- 03Processing & PRP Prep~30 minAdipose tissue is purified and microfragmented mechanically without chemicals, while your PRP is prepared from a blood draw.
- 04Precision Injection~30 minThe combined adipose tissue and PRP matrix is injected with pinpoint accuracy into the joint under ultrasound guidance.
- 05Follow-up PRP InjectionAfter 2 weeksTwo weeks post-procedure, a follow-up PRP injection is performed under ultrasound guidance to further stimulate healing and tissue recovery.
- 06Individually Structured RehabIncludedA customised rehabilitation programme with a personal trainer is included to ensure optimal recovery of joint strength, mobility, and function.
How Orthobiologics compares to other options
Orthobiologics (SVF + PRP)
Recommended- Mechanism & Action
- Structural cushioning + biological cell stimulation
- Best suited for
- Mild to moderate osteoarthritis
- Procedure & Recovery
- Under local anaesthetic, walk out same day, follow-up rehab
- Longevity
- Several years
PRP
- Mechanism & Action
- Inflammation reduction & cell stimulation
- Best suited for
- Mild to moderate OA & tendon injuries
- Procedure & Recovery
- Simple injection, minimal downtime after a few days
- Longevity
- 6–12 mos (requires maintenance)
Joint Surgery
- Mechanism & Action
- Mechanical joint replacement
- Best suited for
- End-stage joint destruction
- Procedure & Recovery
- Anaesthesia, hospital stay, 3–6 mos intensive rehab
- Longevity
- 15–20 yrs (prosthesis lifespan)
When this treatment isn't right
- Active systemic or local infection
- Ongoing or active malignancy
- Blood-borne pathogens or severe coagulation disorders
